The new portfolios, developed in conjunction with Wilshire Associates, are set up similar to Wilshire’s existing asset allocation portfolios, providing investors with global diversification and varying levels of exposure to stock and bond markets, according to a news release.
Additionally, the hedged portfolios contain the Profunds Rising Rates Opportunity Fund hedging fund, which is designed to appreciate when long-term interest rates rise. With this inclusion, AssetMark states investors should be protected from principal loss caused by a potential increase in rates.
