Assurant Offers Healthcare Discount Card for Employees

The WellCard Savings Program provides an average savings of up to 30% on medical visits, up to 65% on brand name and generic prescriptions, and discounts on hearing and diabetes care, diagnostic and lab tests, daily living products and more. Additionally, those carrying a WellCard Savings Card automatically join a nationwide network of more than 59,000 pharmacies and more than 350,000 physicians, and can receive rewards for everyday purchases made through a network of merchants.   

“In everyday life, and especially when they have an illness or accident, employees incur unplanned expenses that are not covered by their traditional health insurance,” said Mark Sylvester, vice president of sales at Assurant Employee Benefits. “The WellCard Savings Card can provide savings and options to help them control these costs as much as possible. Also, through the WellCard program, employers can provide an additional benefit to their employees while reinforcing the value of one-on-one enrollment meetings in educating employees about their benefits packages and how various insurance coverages can help protect from unforeseen financial risks.”  

The WellCard Savings Program will be offered at no charge to employees whose employers offer Assurant Employee Benefits’ voluntary or employee-paid insurance products. Employees will receive a card after attending a one-on-one enrollment meeting.
