Benefit Software is Out with Fringe Facts Communicator Update
December 17, 2008 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Benefit
Software Inc., a Santa Barbara, California-based employee
benefits communications provider, has unveiled the newest
version of its Fringe Facts Communicator.
Reported by Fred Schneyer
A news release said the revised version offers employers and benefits brokers new charting options and greater design flexibility to produce Total Compensation Statements.
The announcement said the enhancements include:
- Defaults set to applicable calculations for the benefits calendar year. For example, Social Security Administration OASDI earnings default to the 2008 maximum earnings level, while help text still lists the ceilings from 2006 to 2009.
- Exploding pie slices in charts, which draw attention to benefits such as employer-paid health care premiums.
- Legends, which provide additional space for supplemental text for each section of the chart.
- Color palettes, which allow users to select from 10 options and automatically apply the chosen color scheme to statements.
- Page relative text, chart, graphic, title bar, and text positioning, which automatically adjusts and aligns content for each statement to balance overall design uniformity with customization—including the positioning of names and address in each statement envelope window.
- Enhanced data backup and restore provides users greater flexibility by allowing backup files to be renamed and stored in the same folder as the original files.
