Bjorkman Moves to Equity Investment Firm

January 31, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Russell Bjorkman, formerly a member of the Florida Investment Advisory Council, has taken a position with a large-cap equity investment firm.

Bjorkman, who stepped down as one of six council members in December, moved to a position as a product specialist for Intech, based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and Princeton, New Jersey. In his council work over four years, Bjorkman reviewed investment performance and procedures for the Florida State Board of Administration, which oversees the state’s investments for its pension funds and other pools of money.

In his new role, Bjorkman told PLANSPONSOR.com that he would be meeting with clients to help analyze their portfolios. Intech has $7 billion to $8 billion in assets under management.

Bjorkman had served as a trustee for the City of Miami fire department pension plan as well as a combined city pension plan for police and fire department employees.
