BoNY Creates DB Transition Services Group

October 29, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The Bank of New York (BoNY) has launched a new unit, BNY Global Transition Management, to assist defined benefit pension plan sponsors with rebalancing their plans or transferring assets between investment strategies, asset classes and investment managers.

The unit offers a single point of coordination to provide a transition for the client from pre-trade analysis and setting the trading strategies through trade execution, clearing, and post-transition reporting.

BNY Global Transition provides transition management strategies in:

  • US and international equities
  • fixed income
  • currency instruments

The new unit will operate as a separate division of BoNY’s agency brokerage subsidiary, BNY ESI & Co., Inc.  Frederick E Graboyes, managing director at BNY ESI, will oversee the new group.
