Catalyst for Payment Reform Offers Health Plan RFI
June 21, 2011 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Catalyst for Payment Reform (CPR), an organization of health care purchasers, has announced the release of a new tool for employers and other health care purchasers.
Reported by PLANSPONSOR staff
According to a recent press release, the new health plan request for information (RFI) is designed to help employers and other health care purchasers evaluate health plans regarding their efforts to reform payment. Health plan clients will be able to monitor how well plans are aligning costs with the quality of care, such as the amount of total physician and hospital payments that are tied to their performance.
CPR said the RFI gives health care purchasers and plans the capacity to plan, implement and evaluate payment policies that promote high-quality and cost-effective care.
More information about the RFI and CPR is available here.
