Clark Consulting Gets Spitzer Contingent Commission Subpoena

compensation and benefits consulting firm Clark Consulting
acknowledged Friday that it had received a subpoena from New
York state Attorney General Eliot Spitzer seeking information
about its retirement product sales.

According to the Barrington, Illinois-based firm, the inquiry focuses on contingent commissions paid as part of its sales agreements – a key Spitzer focus in his ongoing investigation into the insurance and benefits industry, Reuters reported.
Clark said it was cooperating with Spitzer’s office. With more than 900 employees and 3,900 clients, the company reported 2004 total revenue of $315.6 million, according to its Web site .
