CompWatch 7.0 Launched for OSHA Compliance
January 7, 2002 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Benefit Software
Inc (BSI) launched CompWatch 7.0, a software system used to
track and record occupational injuries and
illnesses.
Reported by Camilla Klein
Developed in accordance with revised OSHA regulations, CompWatch uses injury and illness claims data to produce management reports and graphs, which are then used to monitor safety programs.
The software system also produces:
- the Employers’ First Report of Injury for all states, which the system automatically sends from remote locations to corporate headquarters, TPA or insurance carriers,
- the new OSHA 300 log, and 200 log for pre-2002 claims that are still open, and
- the 300A and 301 forms.
According to BSI, CompWatch also helps to identify fraudulent, excessive and repetitive claims by enabling better collection and recording of occupational injuries and illnesses.
