A news release said that Myfinancialadvice, Inc. enables participants to access and evaluate independent financial advisors and receive advice by telephone or e-mail, on a fee-for-service basis. All participating advisors are vetted by Myfinancialadvice, Inc. to verify that they have met professional standards, have licenses and credentials in good standing, and have clean regulatory and criminal histories, the company said.
The company said its platform enables participants to:
- locate a financial advisor based on expertise, the state in which the advisor is legally able to provide advice, certification, hourly and/or flat fees, employment history, education, personal interests, photo, spoken languages and availability
- interview advisors via phone or e-mail
- work with an advisor to create a proposal that states the participant’s objectives, what advice and information the advisor will provide, when it will be provided, what personal information the advisor needs to complete the advice, and the advisor’s fee
- pay directly by credit card or through a pre-arranged plan sponsor billing arrangement.
The company said its platform is scalable for any size employee base and can be deployed through the online platform of a plan sponsor or plan provider.
