Dreyfus Names Paul Pantalena Head Of Equity Trading

March 26, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Dreyfus Corp, a unit of Mellon Financial Corp, has tapped Paul Pantalena as its new head of equity trading.

The company said Pantalena would be responsible for the execution of equity trades for Dreyfus’s mutual fund business.

Previously, Pantalena was partner, managing director and head of equity trading at Columbus Circle Investors, where he spent 10 years . There, he managed a trading desk that handled $2.5 billion in equity assets. Prior to Columbus Circle Investors, Pantalena worked at Equitable Capital and at GE Investments as a senior equity trader.

Pantalena is a member of the National Organization of Investment Professionals and sits on the Equity Advisory Board of the Investment Company Institute, as well as the Trader Forum Advisory Board. He received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Quinnipiac University.
