EBSA Offers Compliance Workshop in Florida
June 21, 2012 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – The Department of Labor’s Employee Benefit Security Administration (EBSA) is offering a free workshop in Jacksonville, Florida.

The workshop is designed to provide “basic compliance tips and a little more.” Service providers are encouraged to invite client plan fiduciaries and officials to attend this workshop to learn more about their fiduciary duties and compliance responsibilities.
The workshop will include:
- A session about basic fiduciary responsibilities;
- A session about violations of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) through EBSA’s Voluntary Fiduciary Correction Program and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Correction Programs; and
- An overview session about a variety of health law topics including the new Affordable Care Act.
The workshop will be held August 8.
