EBSA Offers Resources for Employees Regarding Maintaining COBRA

August 30, 2010 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – The U.S. Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration is offering a fact sheet and FAQs for former employees on maintaining health coverage after the COBRA premium subsidy ends.

The fact sheet reminds employees to make sure they know when their 15 months of premium assistance ends and how much they need to pay to continue coverage. It also provides tips on where to look for other coverage.  

The FAQs explain the rules regarding receiving the COBRA subsidy and answers to questions on maintaining coverage after the subsidy ends.
