The fund seeks long-term capital growth and invests at least 80% of its net assets in the equity securities of companies whose principal business activities are located in emerging market countries. The fund began trading December 31, 2010.
According to the announcement, fund investment performance will be derived primarily from stock selection. A strategic asset allocation process will be a secondary contributor to the investment process. Assets of the fund are allocated to teams of managers who have experience with respect to a particular geographic region.
In addition, Henderson debuted A and C retail share classes for the Henderson International All Cap Equity Fund (HFNAX, HFNCX). The International All Cap Equity Fund (Class I Shares, HIEIX) was launched on January 31, 2008, and follows a bottom-up All Cap strategy, focusing primarily on the developed markets of Europe, Australasia and the Far East (EAFE).
