Employers Encourage Employees to Vote

November 6, 2006 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - More than one-third of organizations surveyed for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) said they are allowing employees paid time off to vote.

According to an SHRM press release, this number is up from 30% in 2004. In addition, 21% of HR professionals surveyed said they are allowing for time off to vote without pay, the same number as in 2004.

  • We provide employees with nonpartisan information about candidates – 4%
