Explore New Job Opportunities in Your Pajamas

Staffing firm Kelly Services on Friday launched the second stage of its online presence – a “virtual headquarters.” The company’s “Second Life” site will offer virtual opportunities for users to explore job placement and career development through public seminars, conferences, job fairs, interviews, and training, according to a NewsEdge report.

The site will also allow users to explore Kelley’s career options through online avatars, which can use the “in-world” job boards to explore Kelly’s job placement opportunities, the report said. The firm’s recruiters will be available at the site.

Earlier this year, Kelly launched its first virtual job exploration “island,” modeled after its Web-based “virtual break room.” On the island, avatars can participate in a range of job-scenario adventures.
