Federal Personnel Management Org. Changing to Online Retirement System
Developing the models is the second step in a three-step approach, OPM Director Linda Springer said, to make certain that federal employees receive full retirement pay with their first retirement check, according to the news release. The new release notes that some retirees have had to wait months to receive their full benefits, which it calls “unacceptable.”
Through the contract, Accenture will work with OPM employees to ensure that they know how to use the electronic system, which will be a “paperless, electronic benefits delivery and tracking system,” according to the news release. The system will allow retirees to access their retirement records and decrease the time it takes to process claims.
