Firm Adds Risk Mgt. Suite to Walker MacRae Platform

September 10, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - An Emeryville, California firm is adding its risk management Web site for third party administrators (TPAs) to its existing partnership with trading platform provider Walker MacRae.

According to a news release from Normandie Institutional Advisors, it is adding its PlanTools Risk Management System, a suite of tools that equips service providers to help plan sponsors make better plan investment decisions.

The announcement said the product consists of:

investment policy module – Investment Policy Statement (IPS) tool that enables the creation and maintenance of a plan IPS by the sponsor and its advisor. The IPS identifies mutual fund categories and selection criteria to be used in fund selection.
fund screening/scoring/selection tools – Interactive fund selection module that supports efficient analysis and selection of plan investment funds, as defined by the IPS and supported by the plan’s advisor. Objective and subjective oversight provide protective for plan sponsors.
quarterly compliance report – Integrated quarterly report card, which ties plan-specific investment fund performance to monitoring criteria identified in the plan’s IPS. Fiduciary monitoring of fund performance is fulfilled.
