Firm Offers Tool to Help with Health Care Decisions
January 31, 2013 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – Highmark introduced an interactive tool that helps customers consider their range of coverage options under health care reform.
Reported by Rebecca Moore
The “Highmark Health Care Reform Planner” is a four-step planner that creates a profile using client-specific data and work force priorities; presents the key impacts of reform; and models a client’s coverage options and costs. The planner generates a summary report.
Among the specific variables that the planner considers are the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA) new employer requirements and penalties, the individual mandate to purchase health insurance coverage, fees and taxes under reform and available coverage solutions.
Highmark also offers a website that tracks reform at www.highmarkonhealthreform.com.
