First Union Upgrades 401(k) Web

August 13, 2001(Plansponsor.com)- First Union Benefits Services Group has unveiled a number of plan sponsor-oriented enhancements to its Evergreen 401(k) now product, including eligibility calculation and negative enrollment.

The Charlotte, North Carolina-based provider now also offers secure file transfer capabilities.

In addition, participants now have access to:

  • auto enrollment window capabilities
  • dollar deferrals for auto enrollment
  • dollar transfers on the Internet
  • as well as an application to redirect their future contributions by money type

A spokesperson for First Union told PLANSPONSOR.com that these features were previously available only through the company’s call center.

First Union currently services 1,842 plans, 440,000 participants and manages over $15.1 billion in assets.
