Fleites Named CIO of ProFund Advisors LLC

August 23, 2005 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Agustin (Gus) Fleites has been named Chief Investment Officer at ProFund Advisors, LLC, effective August 29.

A news release reported that Fleites will have investment oversight responsibility for more than 90 funds managed by ProFund Advisors. He will also lead the company’s exchange traded fund (ETF) initiatives.

Fleites was formerly Senior Principal of State Street Global Advisors (SSgA). As President of SSgA Funds Management and Managing Director of its Advisor Strategies unit, he managed SSgA’s registered investment advisor business, and oversaw the distribution and management of the firm’s registered mutual funds, ETFs, and managed accounts businesses. He served as Chairman of the Board and President of SSgA’s streetTRACKS family of exchange traded funds, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of the SSgA Funds, and a Director of the Select Sector SPDR Trust.

After 18 years with SSgA, Fleites left suddenly in May of this year (See NewsDash – May 18 The Feeling’s Mutual ).

ProFund Advisors LLC is investment advisor to ProFunds. ProFund Advisors also manages the ProFunds VP products and Access One Trust.
