Flexible Work Arrangements Keep Employees Happy
A news release from LifeCare, a specialty care service provider, reported that its poll found 49% claimed flex arrangements/part-time work are most critical to their being happy and productive at work.
The next closest response was health and wellness
programs (15%), followed by new training/learning
capabilities (13%), temporary assignments (5%) and
retirement planning (3%). Another 15% cited other
important benefits including access to fitness facilities
and gym memberships, college tuition assistance, retiree
benefits, relocation assistance, and incentive programs.
“Without question, work/life balance is a priority for
workers today, and many of them are pointing to flex time
as a solution,” said LifeCare CEO Peter G. Burki, in the
announcement.
LifeCare took the poll during December on its Web site among the employees of its 1,500 client organizations.
