Franklin Templeton Releases Two New Funds of Funds

August 19, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Franklin Templeton Distributors, Inc. has rolled out two new funds of funds.

Franklin Templeton Corefolio Allocation Fund seeks capital appreciation through investments in Franklin Capital Growth Fund, Franklin Growth Fund, Mutual Shares Fund, and Templeton Growth Fund. The fund makes equal allocations of its assets to the four underlying funds, which invest primarily in stocks in the US and abroad, according to a news release.

The other new offering, the Franklin Templeton Founding Funds Allocation Fund, seeks capital appreciation through a value-oriented approach by investing in Franklin Income Fund, Mutual Shares Fund, and Templeton Growth Fund. The fund makes equal allocations of its assets to the three underlying funds, which specifically target stocks and bonds in the US and abroad that trade at a discount to what the managers believe are their true worth.
