FRIDAY FUN – January 14, 2022

And now it's time for some FRIDAY FUN!

A no-longer-spinning frozen ice disk; a kid wants Mexican food; Robin Williams’ version of how golf was invented; and more.

In Auckland, New Zealand, a man went swimming and later felt a sensation of blockage in his ear. Thinking it was water, he put some drops in it before going to bed that day, but when he woke the next day, it still felt blocked. He went to a doctor who advised him to try using a hairdryer to dry up the water, according to UPI. When the feeling didn’t go away, he went to see an ear, nose and throat specialist. When she looked in his ear, she found…. A LIVE COCKROACH!

In New Haven, Connecticut, a Yale University professor took her “Psychology and the Good Life” class online in March 2018. She made it free via Coursera under the title “Science of Well-Being.” Thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, according to UPI, enrollment has spiked to 3,000% of what it was in 2019.

In Westbrook, Maine, a giant spinning ice disk has returned to the Presumpscot River. According to UPI, residents said it first formed in the river in 2019 and returned this week. However, it was frozen in place as of Wednesday. If you can’t view the below video, try https://youtu.be/tzUhv0YGCgo.
