Goldman Sachs and MetLife Agree to Disclose Diversity Data
April 16, 2012 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – At the request of New
York City’s public pension funds, Goldman Sachs and MetLife agreed to publicly
disclose information about the racial and gender breakdowns of their staff.

The public pension funds have large stakes in both Goldman
and MetLife, reports The New York Times.
City Comptroller John Liu said the disclosures may help shareholders evaluate diversity efforts. Both companies stated they have made good progress in promoting diversity.
The annual disclosures will begin later this year.
