Greycourt Hires Towle as a Managing Director

July 10, 2008 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Greycourt, an open architecture firm providing financial advisory services to wealthy families and select endowments, announced that Margaret M. Towle, Ph.D. has joined the firm as a managing director based in its Portland office.

Prior to joining Greycourt, Towle was chief investment officer of Northern Trust Global Advisors (NTGA) where she was responsible for launching NTGA’s alternative investment business and managing the firm’s asset allocation, the announcement said.

Towle was a member of the Northern Trust Investment Policy Committee, the Chairperson of the NTGA Trust and Investment Committee and all of its sub-investment committees and a member of the firm’s Private Equity Investment Committee.

Towle was also a managing partner of M cube Investment Technologies where she worked with institutional investors globally to provide portfolio management technology solutions based on valuation metrics including portable alpha, dynamic beta, and global tactical allocation and implementation strategies. Prior to that she served as chief executive officer and chief investment officer of Puget Sound Asset Management Co., where she led the investment strategy and helped develop new investment offerings.
