Hall Capital Names Director of Portfolio Management

March 6, 2013 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Hall Capital Partners LLC, an independent investment adviser, appointed David J. Schofield as director of Portfolio Management for Institutions and head of Capital Markets.

“We’re thrilled to have David join as portfolio manager for endowment, foundation, and pension clients,” said Kathryn A. Hall, CEO and co-chief investment officer of Hall Capital Partners.  In addition to his duties as portfolio manager, Schofield will also head the capital markets group, which evaluates market trends and issues ongoing updates for the firm’s clients and portfolio managers. He will be based in the firm’s San Francisco office.

“David will help us stay ahead of the ever-changing economic and political landscape, and increase our clients’ understanding of the investment environment, potential opportunities and inherent risks,” Hall said.

Prior to joining Hall Capital, Schofield was the acting co-chief investment officer of Brown University. He also managed endowment assets at Commonfund, as well as holding investment roles at Montgomery Asset Management and Frank Russell Company.
