According to the announcement, using integration of multiple data sources such as disability and workers’ compensation claims, The Hartford and LCG will compare employers’ claims experience and trends against industry benchmarks and develop targeted strategies to improve disability, absence and productivity outcomes.
In addition, The Hartford provides employee assistance programs, return-to-work programs, and analytic consulting services that reduce absences and improve productivity, the announcement said.
“The Hartford understands that employers are concerned about how absenteeism impacts productivity – and in turn, their bottom line,” said Dick Mucci, executive vice president of The Hartford’s Group Benefits Division, in the announcement. “We are pleased to work with LCG to provide employers with a holistic approach to identifying causes of absence and disability, as well as solutions that result in significant reductions in lost work days, decreased benefit costs, and increased productivity.”
