April 23, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. has added eight new American Funds as investment options to its Director Advantage 401(k) program.

To meet what Hartford described as a high demand from brokers and participants for American Funds, the company added three growth and five growth and income funds.

The new funds include:

  • EuroPacific Growth
  • New Perspective
  • The Growth Fund of America
  • Washington Mutual Investors
  • The Investment Company of America
  • American Mutual
  • American Balanced
  • The Income Fund of America.

Subsidiary Hartford Life Insurance Co. provides 401(k) plans to small companies.
