Houston Firefighters Fund Taps New CIO

February 6, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The Houston Firefighters Relief and Retirement Fund has named Christopher Gonzales as its new chief investment officer.

Gonzales has been acting CIO since September 2002 and the $1.6-billion fund’s senior investment analyst since June 2001, according to a news media release. Before that, Gonzales was a senior consulting group analyst with Salomon Smith Barney Consulting Group.

Gonzales holds a bachelor of business administration degree in finance from Houston Baptist University and a master of business administration degree from the University of Houston.
