HR and Payroll Provider Cyborg Renamed Accero

February 5, 2008 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Cyborg, a licensed human resources and payroll services organization, announced the company is being rebranded and changing its name to Accero, Inc.

Cyborg’s recent acquisition by Vista Equity Partners, a San Francisco-based private equity firm, prompted the change (See Hewitt Reveals Sale of Payroll Services Vendor ), the company noted in the announcement. The name is representative of the ‘Accessible’ solutions, support, and service the company has built as well as the ‘Acceleration’ into the future with new leadership, focus, and competitive spirit, the company explained.

In addition Accero announced Tom Malone, a software industry executive, will be its new CEO, and announced the appointment of Jay Nichols, Vice President of Sales.
