HSA Product Offering Benefits Both Employers and Employees

June 27, 2005 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - MedDirect Health Benefits, which provides financing to patients for health care procedures, is partnering with 1Point Solutions, a TPA in Dickson, Tennessee, to offer its "MedDirect HSA Plus" savings package to employees with HSAs in Tennessee, Missouri and Louisiana, according to a news release.

The central element to MedDirect HSA Plus is a savings account offered through Bancorp Bank with overdraft protection offered to all employees, regardless of credit, sponsored by the employer.   A key link to the savings account is the Bridge Card, a debit MasterCard that can be used at the point of sale.

MedDirect Health Benefits will provide funding and 1Point Solutions will manage the MedDirect HSA Plus features which include:

  • enrollment assistance
  • contribution processing
  • claims substantiation
  • customer service
  • compliance review.

The combination should help reduce employers’ costs associated with HSA’s and increase employees’ satisfaction, according to the news release.    “The partnership with 1Point Solutions is significant for employers in these states, as health care costs continue to rise,” said Carl Jasperse, Vice President for MedDirect Health Benefits. 

The product will be available July 1.
