Hub Intl. Picks up CA Benefits Consultant

January 3, 2008 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Chicago-based Hub International Limited, an insurance brokerage, announced Hub International of California Insurance Services, Inc. has acquired employee benefits consultant JRN Benefits.

The announcement said the Santa Barbara-based JRN offers employee benefits insurance and consulting services including help for employers in developing and administering qualified and non-qualified retirement plans and other benefit programs.

“JRN will provide HUB California with an additional product line expertise,” said Kirk Christ, president of HUB California, in the announcement. “The ability to call upon experienced professionals who can assist privately owned companies in maximizing their profits for their employees and personal accounts will be a clear differentiator from our competition.”

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Hub International Limited provides property and casualty, reinsurance, life and health, employee benefits, investment, and risk management products and services through offices located in the United States and Canada.
