Humana Acquires Behavioral Health Care Mgmt Co

announced that it has acquired Corphealth Inc, a Fort Worth,
Texas-based behavioral health care management
company.

“The acquisition of Corphealth allows Humana to seamlessly integrate coverage of medical and behavioral health benefits,” said Thomas Liston, senior vice president – strategy and corporate development for Humana, in the company’s announcement.
Corphealth offers a nationwide network of 22,000 behavioral health providers and currently serves approximately 2 million members, including employers, health insurance companies, and union trusts, the announcement said.
Humana Inc is a health benefits company, with approximately 7 million medical members, that offers health insurance products and related services through traditional and consumer-choice plans to employer groups, government-sponsored plans, and individuals.
