ING Merges, Creates Funds

November 5, 2001(PLANSPONSOR.com) - ING completed the merger of the ING Direct Funds and ING Advisor Funds into a single ING fund family.

The resulting family of 22 domestic and international mutual funds is to be branded as ING Funds and will be managed by ING Investment Management.

The two former ING Direct Funds merged in to the ING Funds family include:

  • the ING Canadian Balanced Fund, and
  • the ING Global Brand Names Fund, which invests in global companies with strong brands and leading market shares

Two new funds have also been added to the ING fund family line-up. These are:

  • the ING Global Equity Fund, and
  • the ING Global Equity RSP Fund

ING Funds’ offering of mutual funds, designed specifically for Canadian investors, is available through all distribution channels including financial advisors and ING Direct Funds Limited.
