ING Purchasing Delta Capital Management

April 21, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - ING Investment Management Americas has announced the purchase of Delta Capital Management, LLC.

The acquisition will bring Delta’s $275 million book in large capitalization value portfolios into the fold of ING America’s $150 billion dollars in assets under management.   ING America will retain William Coughlin, presently managing partner of Delta, together with partners Jonathan Kay, Anthony Cavlov and Michael Hemberger.

The move keeps together Coughlin and his team that, prior to forming Delta Capital Management in 1998, worked together at Scudder Kemper Investments and its predecessor firm Dreman Value Advisors.   The team will be based in New York and will report to Rick Nelson, chief investment officer of ING Investment Management Americas, a subsidiary of ING Group.
