Reported by Rebecca Moore
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Tax Exempt and Government Entities (TE/GE) Knowledge Management team periodically issues research summaries called “Issue Snapshots” about tax-related issues for retirement plan practitioners.
Topics covered in the snapshots include church plan automatic contribution arrangements, nondeductible contributions to defined benefit plans and hardship distributions from 401(k) plans, among others.
In addition, the IRS has updated its SIMPLE IRA Plan Fix-It Guide as well as its 403(b) Plan Fix-It Guide.
