JP Morgan Fleming Cuts its Funds

April 27, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - In line with the growing trend of investment banks trimming their fund menus, J.P. Morgan Fleming Asset Management announced plans to cut up to 25% of its UK funds this year.

Between six and eight of the company’s 32 UK funds will be merged into other funds by the close of 2001 in an effort to streamline the brand landscape for their clients, following a series of mergers last year.

Most of the fund products in all regions, with the exception of Asia, will be renamed, J.P. Morgan Fleming by mid-May.

Asian funds will be branded under J.F. Asset Management, while some life and pension products will retain the original name.
