JPMorgan Names Guernsey to CEO Americas Post

July 7, 2004 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - JPMorgan Fleming Asset Management has turned to Eve Guernsey to fill the newly created position of chief executive officer of the Americas including the recently combined Bank One Investment Management Group.

Guernsey was most recently CEO of the firm’s institutional business in the Americas, a role which she will combine with her new responsibilities, the company announced in a news release.

In her new role, Guernsey will head business strategy, day-to-day management, and profitability for all of the JPMorgan Fleming Asset Management businesses in the Americas, including the mutual funds business and JPMorgan Invest, LLC, which includes JPMorgan Retirement Plan Services and BrownCo. She will continue to report to Paul Bateman, chief executive officer of JPMorgan Fleming worldwide and sit on the business’s Global Executive Committee.

Guernsey has been with the firm since 1977. Prior to becoming CEO of the institutional business in the Americas in 2002, she was head of JPMorgan Fleming’s Client Service, Acquisition and Marketing business in North America. She joined the institutional investment business after holding responsibility for developing and managing J.P. Morgan’s proprietary U.S. mutual fund business. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Smith College in 1977.
