Legal & General Investment Management America Hires LDI Expert
April 12, 2010 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Legal & General Investment Management America has announced the appointment of Aaron Meder to the newly created position of Head of US Pension Solutions.

Based in the firm’s U.S. headquarters in Chicago, Meder will build out and lead a team responsible for the company’s construction and management of customized investment solutions, including liability driven investments (LDI), for U.S. pension clients. He will start May 25 and will report to Mark Zinkula, CEO of Legal & General Investment Management America, according to the announcement.
Meder joins Legal & General Investment Management America from UBS Global Asset Management, where he served as Managing Director, Head of Asset-Liability Investment Solutions, Americas. At UBS, he was a member of the Global Investment Solutions Group, and also led the US Pension Advisory Group and the Asset-Liability Investment Committee which manages custom multi-asset investment solutions relative to client liability profiles.
Prior to UBS, Meder worked at Towers Perrin and Watson Wyatt Worldwide. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), as well as a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and an Enrolled Actuary (EA).« Renewed Focus on Employee Productivity Driving Benefits Offerings
