Manulife Launches Individual(k)

February 10, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Manulife USA has introduced the Individual(k) program to bring a new option in owner-only business retirement planning.

Offered in response to recent changes to the US tax law in the Economic Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act (EGTRRA), the new program, structured as part of Manulife USA’s Venture Variable Annuities division will offer a new choice in the establishment and maintenance of an individual 401(k) plan.

Further, theIndividual(k) plan offers a choice in plan administration.   Owner-only businesses can decide between self-administration, administered by an independent third party administrator of the client’schoice, or implemented through a competitively priced all-inclusiveplatform offered by BISYS.
