Market Asset Management Corp. Names EVP and Partner

April 3, 2012 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – Andrew J. Silverberg joined Market Asset Management Corp. as an executive vice president and partner.  

Silverberg is returning to the firm where he began his investing career and will join Mark Asset Management’s Founder and President Morris Mark in managing all the firm’s hedge funds. Silverberg will be directly involved in the expansion of the firm’s Investment Focus Fund and its Growth and Income Fund.

Silverberg brings more than a decade of investment experience to Mark Asset Management, where he began his investment career in 1999. In 2001, he joined money management firm, Fred Alger Management. After a series of promotions, he was made senior vice president and portfolio manager of the company’s large cap growth and growth and income portfolios, and in addition, the equity portion of Alger’s balanced portfolio.

Silverberg graduated from Brooklyn College with a B.S. in business, management and finance. He was a member of the Scholars Program at Brooklyn College, the Phi Beta Kappa Society, and was a winner of the T. Bruce Birkenhead Prize in Economics.
