Mass. Company Releases Scheduling Software
April 29, 2002 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - New workforce
management software could help managers design work schedules
for their employees that equalize workers' chance of earning
overtime pay and allow them to job swap, a Framingham,
Massachusetts company said.
Reported by Fred Schneyer
SmartTime Software Inc. said the latest version of SmartStaff allows employees to transact a variety of HR-related functions by themselves.
The company said the new SmartStaff features:
- job swapping forms with all necessary information presented on one screen,
- an employee self-service module,
- an easier way to update reports, and
- a mass entry screen for making and validating multiple schedule updates
Employees interested in trading jobs can access SmartStaff at a kiosk computer station or via a PC-based browser where they can accomplish the job swap according to pre-defined rules and without a manager being involved, SmartTime Software said.
