Mellon Unveils Workbench Improvements

March 9, 2005 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Users of Workbench, Mellon Group's online information delivery system designed for plan sponsors and institutional investors, has been beefed up to now include automatic scheduling and distribution of reports.

A Mellon news release said that the upgrade, Workbench Express, automatically distributes reports to E-mail accounts, local printers, file folders and secure corporate Internet sites (FTP file transfer sites) based on standing instructions maintained online.

Additional Workbench enhancements include:

corporate and class action features
a workbook
statement upgrades.

“The automatic delivery of regularly scheduled outputs to their required destinations frees Workbench users from routine delivery and distribution tasks,” said Steve Boor, Workbench product manager, in the news release.

Workbench provides asset servicing information, including data about real-time cash, custody, accounting, performance, analytics, securities lending and benefit disbursements.
