Morley Financial Hires New CIO

August 22, 2008 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Citing "significant growth", Morley Financial Services, Inc. says that Charles Moon will join the firm as chief investment officer (CIO).

According to a press release, Moon will have responsibility for development and execution of the firm’s investment strategy. He replaces Jill Cuniff, who will now focus solely on managing director responsibilities for Morley.

Moon joins Morley from Hartford Investment Management where he was a managing director with responsibility for investment grade credit sector. Prior to that , he held senior positions with OppenheimerFund’s Institutional Group, Morgan Stanley and Citigroup.

Morley has realized significant growth and expansion, with assets under management increasing $1 billion thus far in 2008 to more than $15 billion, according to a press release.

“Morley has a strong reputation in the stable value and fixed income market place,” said Moon. “With the backing of parent company Principal Global Investors, Morley has tremendous resources that will help us in our plans for additional expansion opportunities. I look forward to taking the investment process to the next level and helping to grow the firm.”
