Most CFOs Plan to Stay Put in the Near Future
July 11, 2007 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Nearly three
quarters of chief financial officers (CFOs) don't intend to
leave their positions in the near future, which is why more
than 80% haven't chosen a successor, a recent poll
found.

The poll of 1,400 CFOs by Robert Half Management Resources found that 74% of respondents are not planning on leaving their jobs in the near future, which ranked as the top reason for not having picked a successor.
The second most cited reason for not having chosen someone to fill their shoes was that there were no qualified people at the organization (12%); too busy focusing on other concerns (6%) and not a priority if they were no longer at the company (5%).
The survey also found that 16% of CFOs have already named a successor.
