NAGDCA Releases Best Practices Guide

September 4, 2013 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – The National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators (NAGDCA) has released its “Best Practices Guide.”

The guide is geared toward government administrators of small to mid-size defined contribution (DC) plans. According to NAGDCA, the goal is to release a series of such guides to provide government DC administrators with the basic requirements needed to run an effective DC plan and to understand their fiduciary responsibilities. The series showcases methods and techniques that have consistently shown results superior to those achieved with other means, according to the Association.

“The Best Practices Guide will be an invaluable resource for our members and government DC administrators across the country. Because of the vast experience of the writers, including government DC administrators, consultants and plan sponsors, this guide is thorough and able to encompass many points of view,” said NAGDCA President Tom Mueller.

NAGDCA is an organization of defined contribution retirement plan administrators and financial service providers. It focuses on retirement planning for public sector employees participating in 457(b), 403(b), 401(a), and 401(k) retirement plans.
