Nasdaq Offering European QQQ ETF

December 2, 2002 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - US stock market Nasdaq has announced the launch of EQQQ, a European version of its QQQ exchange-traded fund (ETF), according to a Reuters report.

EQQQ has been registered to sale in the UK, Belgium and Ireland and is being launched to capitalize on increasing investments in Europe’s ETF sector.   Morgan Stanley estimates investments in European ETFs, currently $10 billion, could double within the next two years.

The new ETF will clear and settle in Euros, even in the UK, with expenses limited to 20 basis points per year.

QQQ, which Nasdaq claims to be the most actively traded ETF in the world, tracks the top 100 Nasdaq shares.
