Nebraska Pension Finds a New CIO
October 2, 2009 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Jeffrey States,
chief investment officer for the Sacramento County Employees'
Retirement System, has been hired to oversee Nebraska's
pension fund.
Reported by Nevin E. Adams
The Sacramento Bee says that Nebraska officials said States will be paid an annual salary of $200,000 as investment officer of the $12 billion Nebraska Public Employees Retirement System. The pension fund is for Nebraska government employees, county workers in that state, public-school teachers and highway patrol officers.
States will start his new job on November 9, while SCERS said Friday that it will begin a nationwide search for States’ replacement later this month or in early November.
