New Java Program for Public Plans
Covansys Corporation said in its press release that the new software would give pension participants and retirees access to their retirement accounts on a more timely and efficient basis.
On the administration side, the Clarety – Java edition allows plan administrators to offer a higher and more efficient level of customer service, the company claimed.
The company said its Clarety software was first offered for mainframe systems in 1992, then for a Windows client-server system four years later and with a Web extension to the client-server system in 2000.
The Covansys executives said they get about 30% of their total operating revenue from state and local government customers.
