New Online Mental Health Offering Unveiled

November 5, 2002 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Companies interested in providing their employees easy access to mental health information might want to consider a new online product.

Workplace Options, Inc., a Raleigh, North Carolina company, announced that its Emotional/Wellbeing Module will be available in January as part of its Advantage Web suite of online benefit tools.

The company said that the Emotional Wellbeing Module helps individuals use online resources and self-assessment tools and guides them   to uncover the obstacles to change, as well as to identify the route to dealing with their emotional issues.

The company said the Emotional Wellbeing Module covers the following content areas:

  • anxiety disorders
  • coping skills
  • depression
  • eating disorders
  • personal development
  • stress.

As part of Advantage Web, the Advantage Emotional Wellbeing Module joins a toolbox that contains over 1,500 articles, tip-sheets and handbooks on a selection of lifecycle and daily living topics, the company said.

The topics include child care, elder care, financial, health and daily-living calculators; integrated self assessment tools for depression and assertiveness; user-defined news feeds, online polling, and employee bulletin boards.
